Listening To Your Voice

www.listeningtoyourvoice.co.uk

Ruth Pearson is a former Deputy Headteacher, with over 25 years’ experience working in a number of secondary schools. Her passion is to see young people strive to be the best they can be. She uses the challenges in her life to support others and was one of the founding members of Cornerstone Counselling Services. In 1996 Ruth was diagnosed with the auto-immune condition, lupus and has become an avid supporter of raising awareness of hidden disabilities. In 2015, she had her worst day of teaching and used this experience, along with findings from her research Masters dissertation, to write a self-help coaching book called ‘Say Yes To New Opportunities! Be Motivated to L.E.A.R.N.’ The book outlines a strategy to improve mental health and leadership skills, which she has called 5STEPS2LEARN.  She is also the author of ‘Listening for God’s Voice’ – a book about building intimate relationships with others.

Ruth strives to bring out the best in others, one of the reasons she retrained as a transformational coach and a television broadcaster with Good News Britain, a community-based television company.  She naturally blends her teaching, coaching and speaking skills to empower others and works on projects around reducing stress, the importance of looking after wellbeing in a holistic way, and training staff in leadership and management skills. She also a verifier of The London Healthy Workplace Charter.

The motto she lives by is ‘Be Inspired, To Aspire!’

My background and experience

Why I started my business

  • To look after my health

  • To use the knowledge I gained in the education sector in new ways to transform the lives of students and staff. I became a teacher to make a difference in the lives of others, now I am teaching a wider sector of society, not just students in a classroom.

  • To learn new skills, as I am an avid learner.

  • To be in a position to give back to others and to be a good role model.

My proudest achievements in business

  • Being an Author and learning how my books have transformed lives.

  • Being asked to be a regular host of the live TV Show, Tomorrow News Today.

  • Seeing the lives of my clients transform because I shared with them a profound way of looking after their personal and professional wellbeing.

  • Speaking at ExCel at the Business Show 2017, and at other events.

I can speak on the following topics:

  • My Business Journey and Success

  • Living with a chronic disease and how it impacts your life and others

  • Empowering young people to celebrate their uniqueness

  • Ways to improve personal and professional wellbeing, especially the importance of looking after emotional, mental and social health

  • Ways to reduce stress and have a better quality of life
