I am a driven and honest individual who can offer other business leaders my practical life experience, both in relation to my journey as a female entrepreneur and as someone who has contributed to building a healthy and thriving workplace culture. After 15 years in senior management, I had a life-changing negative mental health experience and I want to turn this into something positive for others to learn from.
My HR knowledge is ‘sound and practical; I can help any sized businesses ‘translate’ their overwhelming HR obligations into practical everyday practices that will significantly reduce their business risks by employing and engaging with their employees properly. I can offer many practical and live examples, drawn from my own experience, of how to bring together both HR and the operational side of any business, helping business leaders ensure that they are fully ‘fit for purpose’ when it comes to employing and motivating their people. A healthy workplace culture will result in a thriving and productive workforce.
HR Fit for Purpose operates a completely ‘holistic’ approach to working with business leaders and we do not just focus on the HR side of things. My experience enables me to assess risk factors very quickly both from an operational and HR perspective, encouraging business leaders to understand that if their business is dependent upon employees, it needs to encourage and maintain a healthy workplace culture. Without it businesses will simply survive but not thrive.

Why I started my business
-
After 13 years in senior management I was diagnosed with ‘stress at work’. Having only ever taken 6 days sickness absence in 13 years, suddenly I was signed off sick for several months. My employers handled the situation very badly and I had a mental breakdown. However, after my recovery, I felt I could not allow my skills to go to waste and wanted to help other businesses achieve high engagement, high productivity and low staff turnover.
